Keeping a toddler perfectly still is not the premise of RED. The Mesa Arts Center presentation welcomes movement, sound and different reactions, giving very young children a way to encounter performance through participation rather than a long stretch of conventional audience behavior.
Scheduled October 30–November 8, 2026, with times varying, RED is designed for ages twelve–thirty-six months, with other family members welcome alongside them. The approximately thirty-minute experience involves two dancers and one live musician, with performances limited to twenty-five audience members.
Floor seating is provided, but children may explore and move with the performers. Chairs are available on request. Performers help families enter and leave the space, and an area is set aside for strollers, diaper bags and belongings. These arrangements are part of the show's design, not exceptions caregivers must negotiate on arrival.
All attendees need tickets regardless of age, with published all-in prices starting at $16.25. Check the current performance time, availability and Pop-Up location at 1 East Main Street before booking. Choose a time that suits your child's routine, and let their response guide the experience instead of measuring success by how quietly they watch.
